RICHMOND, N.Y.—More than 81,000 SoLo GI™ Nutrition Bars were distributed to homeless families, street teens and rehabilitated drug and alcohol users through the River Fund, here, following a donation by SoLo GI Nutrition to Vitamin Relief USA. The donation from the Edmonton, Alberta-based company helped provide nutritious, ready-to-eat protein products to some of New York’s neediest citizens.

“We are delighted to partner with Vitamin Relief and the River Fund to help so many in need during the holiday season,” said Saul Katz, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of SoLo GI (www.solo-gi.com). “It is gratifying to know that our donation is providing an excellent balance of concentrated nutrients to those who need it most.”

In additional news, Ojai, Calif.-based Vitamin Relief (www.vitaminrelief.org) received a “four star” rating from Charity Navigator, reflecting a positive analysis of the charitable group’s financial health, including expenses, organizational efficiency and revenue.
