SSW Poker Game Raises $31K for Charity

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.Neptune Technologies & Bioressources hosted the 1st Annual Charity Poker Game on Nov. 6, benefitting the non-profit Vitamin Angels. The event, held at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas in conjunction with SupplySide West 2012, raised more than $31,000 for the charity.

"Just by reaching the children Vitamin Angels is serving, we're able to increase their odds of survival by 24 percent," said Howard B. Schiffer, founder and president of Vitamin Angels. "At tonight's poker game, Neptune, along with John Elway and our incredible supporters, helped Vitamin Angels reach an additional 125,000 children."

Both the first and second place winnersChase Shryoc of Gencor and Pascal LeFrancois, World Series of Poker Bracelet Winnerdonated their winnings to Vitamin Angels. The charity combats childhood undernutrition by connection kids and pregnant mothers with vital micronutrients.
