Vitamin Angels Hosts Celebratory Gala

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.To celebrate reaching 20 million children in 2010,  Vitamin Angels is hosting its annual Celebration of Angels gala this year on Oct. 15 at the Harvard Club of Boston. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Celebration of Angels event, held in honor of Vitamin Angels supporters in the dietary supplement and natural products industries who have shown all that is possible when companies unite for a common cause: improving the lives of children worldwide.

"This year could be our most important Celebration of Angels event ever," said Howard Schiffer, president of Vitamin Angels. Together as an industry we are reaching 20 million children in the United States and around the world. We are now at an inflection point, and on Oct. 15, we want to share with everyone what is now possible."

The Vitamin Angels event will feature guest speaker, Benjamin Zander, conductor of the Boston Philharmonic and co-author of The Art of Possibility." Musical guests from the Berklee School of Music and the Boston City Singers will be performing. Speakers from across the industry will be present to join in the celebration. 

This years Celebration of Angels fundraiser will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Harvard Club of Boston on Commonwealth Ave. Tickets are available for purchase in advance through the Vitamin Angels website. An early bird special featuring half off the ticket price is in effect through September 12. 

Lack of essential nutrients is responsible for one-third of all maternal and child deaths worldwide. Vitamin Angels partners with companies large and small to obtain the vitamins and funding to reach children and pregnant or lactating mothers in 40 countries worldwide, including domestically.
