BASEL, SwitzerlandCarnipure, an L-carnitine ingredient manufactured by Lonza, positively affected weight management when combined with healthy lifestyle training.

The Japanese clinical organization Souken conducted a four week, double-blind, randomized and placebo-controlled study that featured 24 overweight participants. These participants were divided into four groups; group A received a daily 500 mg of Carnipure, group B received Carnipure supplement combined with motivation training, group C received a placebo and group D received a placebo along with motivation training.

Results indicated that only group B,  who received the mixture of Carnipure and motivation training, had a significant drop in body weight after the four-week period. The  B group also had the greatest decrease in blood triglyceride levels. The other groups did not show any changes in body weight at all.

Carnipure is a nutrient specialized for energy metabolism. It is broken down during the process when long-chain fatty acids transport into the mitochondria and then produces energy.

Another study also recently concluded that Lonza's ResistAid significantly reduced the number of common colds by 23 percent.
