Chromax GRAS Levels Increased

PURCHASE, NYNutrition 21's flagship ingredient, Chromax chromium, is GRAS (generally recognized as safe) at an increased level of 2,000 mcg per day. Spherix Consulting, a science and regulatory consultant group, compiled the data, and an independent panel of experts approved the increase.

Chromax is included in various dietary supplements and food, and Nutrition 21 expects the updated GRAS status to better position it in the functional food and beverage market.
