ForsLean® Improves Body Composition

PISCATAWAY, N.J.Sabinsa Corp.sbranded ingredient ForsLean®, a patented extract of Coleusforskohlii, increases lean body mass and reducesadipose tissue in obese individuals, according to a recent proprietary studysponsored by the company.

In the 12-week, double blind, placebo-controlled trial, menand women with a body mass index (BMI) in the range 30 to 34.99kg/m2 were given twice daily doses of 250 mg ForsLean or placebo. Individuals administered ForsLean showed a statisticallysignificant, 1.78-percent increase in lean body mass, whereas the placebo groupexperienced a 0.20 decrease in lean body mass. In addition, test subjects whotook ForsLean experienced a decrease in mean body fat content, total bodyweight, and BMI as compared with individuals administered placebo. Nosignificant changes in lipid, renal, liver and thyroid profiles were notedbetween the two groups.
