WAYZATA, Minn.Cargill's Truvia® introduced Truvia® Behind the Bar, a zero-calorie sweetening syrup designed for use at bars, restaurants and other foodservice establishments. According to the company, the new product will help meet growing demand for reduced-calorie cocktails, teas and lemonades.

The syrup is created by mixing one package of Truvia® Behind the Bar into 1/2 gallon of water. Once mixed, the Truvia® Simple Syrup contains zero calories, compared to the nearly 6,400 calories of a similar sugar-sweetened syrup. Truvia® natural sweetener is derived from the leaves of the stevia plant.
