MSG May Reduce Weight Gain, Fat Desposits

KAWASAKI, Japan—MSG may reduce weight gain and fat deposits, according to a new study published in Physiology & Behavior. The study found that rats given water infused with MSG “gained less weight and deposited less fat, without affecting blood pressure, lean body mass or food and energy intake,” FoodNavigator reported.
