MORRISTOWN, N.J.Jay Udani, MD, of Medicus Research, won second place at the 2013 Scripps Natural Supplement Conference for his clinical research on Capsimax® capsicum extract by OmniActive Health Technologies. Udani also earned first place honors at the conference for his research on UC-II®, an undenatured tyape 2 collagen. The Capsimax research utilized The Udani Theory of Natural Health Product Clinical Trial Design, which ensures compliance in structure/function claims.

"It appears that consumption of 100mg of the Capsimax product, delivering 2mg of capsacinoids, for 12 weeks was able to result in a statistically significant reduction in body fat percentage (as measured by DEXA) when compared to placebo,"  Udani said.

Capsimax encapsulates highly concentrated natural capsicum fruit, which is intensely hot and delivers thermogenic powerwithout the burning sensation. Capsimax is just one ingredient using thermogenesis as a weight management tool; learn more in the INSIDER article "Making Weight: Thermogenesis."
