PepsiCo Rolling Out Reformulated Diet Pepsi

PURCHASE, N.Y.PepsiCo has started the roll-out of its reformulated Diet Pepsi in the United States. As shelves empty, replacement product will contain a combination of two sweeteners: aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Previously, the beverage contained only aspartame.

According to the Associated Press, "PepsiCo said in a statement Sunday that it was adding a 'very small amount' of acesulfame potassium 'to ensure consistency with every sip.'
